Aurélien Richard est pianiste, compositeur et chorégraphe.
Élève d’Eliane Richepin, de Charles Rosen, conseillé par Florent Boffard et Roger Muraro, il a reçu les plus prestigieuses récompenses dont le Prix Yvonne Loriod-Messiaen et le Prix de la SACEM. Son expérience de chef de chant à l’Opéra National de Paris et au théâtre musical du Châtelet l'amène à travailler avec William Forsythe, Jiri Kylian et Maurice Béjart, ainsi qu’avec les Arts Florissants, William Christie et Robert Carsen. Il accompagne les chanteurs les plus prestigieux tels Natalie Dessay, Renée Fleming, Susan Graham, Claire Lefilliâtre, Jennifer Borghi, Mathias Vidal, Alain Buet, Marc Mauillon... Il donne également de nombreux récitals et concerts de musique de chambre à travers la France et à l’étranger et se produit dans les festivals, à la radio et à la télévision. Il crée de nombreuses compositions comme celles de Chrystel Marchand, Oscar Strasnoy, Miroslav Srnka, Vincent Manac’h, Anthony Girard ou Valery Arzoumanov. Il collabore aux projets chorégraphiques de Maud Le Pladec, Mié Coquempot, Julia Cima, Alban Richard, David Wampach, Mickaël Phelippeau, Gaël Sesboüé, Jonathan Capdevielle, Cecilia Bengolea et François Chaignaud, et travaille avec le metteur en scène Benjamin Lazar. Compositeur, il remporte le prix de la meilleure création sonore et musicale du 14e Festival de cinéma Côté Court de Pantin en 2005. Il écrit principalement pour la danse, tout en composant un cycle d’Études pour piano dédié à Vanessa Wagner et Florent Boffard et un opéra sur Medeamaterial de Heiner Müller. Récemment, il a entamé une collaboration avec Vanessa Wagner en duo de pianos, et travaille également avec le Quatuor Diotima, 2E2M, les Cris de Paris et les Siècles. Par ailleurs, il écrit ses propres spectacles et performances. Les projets Hoketus, Limen et Lamento ont été créés au Printemps de Septembre à Toulouse, à la Ménagerie de verre à Paris et au festival A domicile à Guissény. Le prochain, Noces/quatuor, sera donné en première au festival DansFabrik au Quartz de Brest et au Centre national de la danse.

Aurélien Richard is a pianist, composer and choreographer.
He studied with Éliane Richepin, Charles Rosen, and was advised by Florent Boffard and Roger Muraro. He holds a piano teacher state diploma. He received the Yvonne Loriod-Messiaen award and the SACEM prize.
He was a “chef de chant” at the Paris National Opera and the Châtelet musical theater, where he worked with William Forsythe, Jiri Kylian, Maurice Béjart as well as with William Christie, Robert Carsen and les Arts Florissants. He works with many important singers, as Natalie Dessay, Renée Fleming, Susan Graham, Claire Lefilliâtre, Jennifer Borghi, Mathias Vidal, Alain Buet, Marc Mauillon... He very often gives piano recitals and chamber music concerts across France and Europe, in Festivals, on the radio and on television. He created several pieces from composers such as Chrystel Marchand, Oscar Strasnoy, Miroslav Srnka, Vincent Manac’h, Anthony Girard or Valery Arzoumanov. He collaborates on dance projects with choreographers such as Maud Le Pladec, Mié Coquempot, Julia Cima, Alban Richard, David Wampach, Mickaël Phelippeau, Gaël Sesboué, Jonathan Capdevielle, Cecilia Bengolea and François Chaignaud.
He works with the stage director Benjamin Lazar. Also a composer, he was awarded with the Best musical score prize at Pantin’s 14th Short films “Côté Court” festival in 2005.
He wrote mostly for dance, while composing an Études cycle for piano dedicated to Vanessa Wagner and Florent Boffard and an opera based on Heiner Müller’s Medeamaterial. He performed with Vanessa Wagner with a piano duet and began a collaboration with Quatuor Diotima, 2E2M, les Cris de Paris and les Siècles. He also directs his own stage projects. Hoketus, Limen and Lamento have been created at the Printemps de Septembre in Toulouse, at the Ménagerie de Verre and at the A domicile Festival in Guissény. His next project, Noces/quatuor, will be plerformed the DanzFabrik (the dance Festival of the Quartz in Brest) and at the Centre national de la danse (Pantin).
